When you arrive at the neighborhood gates, tell the gate guard you are guests of Jesse & Ashton, visiting 3A.
Building 3 is just past the gates and on your right. It contains four condos, and 3A is on the upper left. The entrance is the left door on the street level (no need to take stairs).
-
There is a lockbox hanging on the front door, containing physical keys. We will send you the code before you depart for Mexico.
One key works on the front doors.
A second key opens the community gate; you’ll want this on your way in & out of downtown.
A third key is in the laundry room by the back door; please leave it here throughout your stay.

There is potable reverse-osmosis water available at the kitchen sink (the small spout).
It’s safe to brush your teeth with water from the tap, but you absolutely should not drink the tap water.
-
Most places in Mexico expect you to use waste bins for toilet paper - the plumbing simply can’t keep up.
At the condo, it is ok to flush TP in small quantities. Each toilet has a bidet installed to reduce TP usage. -
Autumn and winter evening can get cold in San Miguel. There are 3 small gas-fired heaters in the condo: one in each bedroom, and the gas fireplace in the living room.
Each heater has a pilot light that may need to be relit during your visit (there’s a lighter in the kitchen). We recommend turning the ceiling fans onto a low setting to help circulate warm air through each room.

San Miguel is quite temperate, so there is no AC in the condo. However, there are plenty of fresh breezes to catch by opening the screened windows and doors!
Our favorite trick for cooling down the apartment is to open the cupola windows (accessed via the roof patio), and turn on the ceiling fan to draw cool air through the apartment.

Condo 3A has a private rooftop patio that has something lovely to offer at every hour of the day! It has two access points:
1) Ascend the large staircase at the front of the building, using the front door key to access the gate
2) Ascend the spiral staircase from the laundry room, using the key that is on the window sill in the laundry room.

The neighborhood has a semi-indoor swimming pool with a few Olympic-length lanes, available to residents and occasionally reserved for a local swimming class. Pool caps required (we have a few in the closet of the master bathroom).
More info coming soon. -
There is high speed WiFI in the condo. The network and password are on a sticker on the router, which is next to the fireplace.
There is no TV in the condo, but the WiFi bandwidth will support streaming on your personal devices.
-
Please feel welcome to use the coffee, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, hair dryers, and other toiletries found in the condo. We simply ask that if a supply is running low, you replenish it or let us know before departing.
-
The condo has a private water tank with excellent heating & pressure. (If electricity goes out, you will still have access to hot water but will have low water pressure).
When you have finished showering in the wet-room, please open the bathroom windows and doors to allow moisture to escape.
-
3A has a laundry room with washer and dryer, right off the kitchen. Clearer instructions coming soon… in the meantime, translate apps are your friend!

The trash can is in a drawer to the left of the oven. Recycling has not been widely adapted in San Miguel; if we figure it out, we will update these instructions.
